| If "Prophesy" in Matthew 7:22-23 means "Teach" then aren't "False Prophets" =...
..."False Teachers"? Last night I posted a question regarding the meaning of the word "Prophesised" in Matt 7:22-23. Most of the people who have answered seem to understand the meaning of those verses as I do, that "prophesy" in that verse refers to teach.
Well if that is the case, doesn't that show that a prophet is not necessarily someone who foretells the future but also someone who is teaching the word of God? (I think "YES", a prophet is someone who is spreading the word of God Jehovah!)
If that then is the case, Matthew 24:11 "And many false prophets will arise, and will mislead many." also refers to those religions that teach erroneous doctrine and make erroneous conclusions based on the Bible. Does it not?
Further, Deuteronomy 18:22, also refers to those religions and proves them to be false prophets.
Please do correct me in my viewing if I'm wrong...
