Between those, brown is definitely better. But ideally, Sperry Topsiders are the ones to wear. Get the brown ones, like this:

These look natural, and give the look a nautical, kind of expensive but laid-back look. I wear these with my school uniform. I wear a skirt, and a navy ralph-lauren cable knit sweater. It always gives me a neat look, and very put together. I also wear ballet flats, but these are my favorite. I've gotten 'best dressed' for 3 years now!
