If Hillary doesn't win this Tuesday then maybe not. If Hillary wins Texas and Ohio, pundits are saying the party bigwigs will still step in and ask her to bow out so that a nominee can be declared quickly.
I think if this happens there will be dissension in the party.
Hillary's base are proven Democratic voters but many are likely to turn to McCain if she is taken out of the race.
Obama has built up a new, energetic base and the pollsters say they will think (whether true or not) that if Hillary wins the nomination it will be because of politics as usual.
The acrimony Obama voters have for Hillary is starting and comes from his campaign itself.
What people are failing to see is that, unlike the Republican race, millions of people are voting for each candidate, now Obama might still be winning but even losing Hillary has more people voting for her than the Republican candidate (in some states).
That's a lot of people.
