A freemason is someone that joins a masonic lodge, usually by referral or being initiated by another mason. Freemasonry is a secret society, that is based on esoteric wisdom, and occult practices. They are 3 degrees of the Blue Lodge, and if one continues in freemasonry they can go to the Scottish rite, which has 33 degrees, or the Egyptian rite which has 95 degrees.
