How do i learn geography successfully? i'm a math major & good in math but...

...just can't do geog. What to do Most of the courses i have taken are math, science and engineering courses. This is my last semester and i get B.S. in math after this semester. But i have to take 1 geography course as elective requirement. And this is the first time i have taken it.

I am taking an atmosphere class, and i can neither make heads nor tails as to what i should study and how. The chapters are very long and there is nothing to do besides reading and absorbing the material you read. No prerequisite is needed.

I am not at all used to this kind of studying, where there are no formulas, no problems to solve, nothing to prove or compute, etc etc.

There is no way i can memorize or remember each chapter. I didn't do well on the first midterm.

If there are 6 chapters on test, that cover over 200 pages -- i get lost what to learn in them.

How geography students handle atmosphere class? Let me know please.

The professor also skips all equations, or chemistry related content of the course. why?
