Yup, Juilliard is the best in the New York area, I got accepted just over 4 years ago but declined the offer as i decided to stay in England.

But if you're really serious about learning how to act you should get on over here and attend the Central School of Speech and Drama or RADA. They are the two top institutions in the world for dramatic training and a damn sight cheaper than the theatrical institutions in the US. I personally went to Central and Majored in acting and then went on to RADA to do a postgrad in Musical Theatre.

I am now 3/4 of the way through my PhD studies and could never have got this far without the correct training. Whatever your choice though make sure you chose the place that's right for you and not the one that sounds/looks the best. You'll never get back the three years it will take and the money you put in if it all goes wrong.

Good luck though,
Dim
