| Is this bad restaurant etiquette?
Occasionally I'll go to a restaurant, and have a nice meal, but the waiter/waitress are busy, and haven't come to ask me for the bill, or if they have, have taken a long time to get the bill. Usually after 5-10 minutes what I do is, I'll take what I "think" my bill is, add the taxes, add an extra 10% in case I got the total wrong, and add another 15% tip, leave it on the table, put a beer bottle, or wine glass on top, and leave.
Is this bad etiquette or is this accepted?
