| I think it has less to do with love and more to do with lack of communication and trust. When communication and trust break down...love follows! People seem to be afraid to communicate with each other. For instance there are so many questions on here like: "how do I ask my spouse.....". Well, you just ask them! It's highly unlikely that they're going to bite your head off....so you might piss them off...I doubt it would be the first time! It's the holding in of things that build up tension. People need to learn to talk more! When they don't get answers to questions then they start to make up their own reasons and assumptions which lead to distrust! I don't think the length of time you know someone has all that much to do with it....some people are just better communicaters. However, the longer you know someone, the easier it is to communicate with them, so there may be some relevance, but I have not know my new husband for that long, but we have excellent communication skills...and have discussed in depth that we think that was a key in both of our previous marriages falling apart...plus mine was abusive but that's another issue all together!  |
