Military Veterans,,,,just to let you know. Dad served in WWII in the 5th...

...Air Force branch of the Army.? with my life so busy as a younger man, now i never asked him about the things he did and the things he saw. I get so curious, but in looking at pictures that he had from that great war, I am very proud of him. I wish all of you to let your children know about the service you gave to this country. talk about it. they will be curious when you are gone. let them know, i know it can be hard. but its only fair that you share that conflict, that struggle for the freedom of this country. I never got the honor to serve, but proudly salute and honor all of you who have. You are all a part of history that makes this country the greatest on earth. Hold your head up high, American Soldier!!!! I wish for all soldiers in harms way, godspeed back to safety! You are our heros!

As a veteran of Viet Nam I thank you for your comments. I have two daughters in college and when they were in grade school and high school I was horrified to discover they didn't study Viet Nam at all. I often wonder what those 58,000 people on the wall would think of that. Thank you again for your words.
