A Mother of 2 children entering the USAF..... clueless in need help?

Hi, I have 2 young children that have just enlisted in the USAF, one has his departure date for boot camp, my daughter is still waiting on hers, I have no idea what to expect I have never had anyone close to me in the military. I am curious about boot camp, I want to be there for their boot camp graduation, any ideas on a good place to stay and does any hotels offer a discount for this? after graduation then there schooling begins then they come home for 2 weeks before being sent to there base, I am not nieve to say they won't be going to Iraq, I know they will but I have been told that in the air force they are only there for a 6 month term at a time, is this true?. Once they get there base, if it is close are we allowed to go visit them? do they have weekends free while stationed at base? Any info I can get would be most appreciated. I am proud of my son and daughter for chosing this career. God Bless you all
