air force academy?

i am currently a freshman in highschool and i plan on going to the air force academy
i am one of the most advanced students in the school and i get straight As
i also do 3 sports and volunteer work
wat things should i do in the next 3 years to prepare myself to be competitive in getting a spot and what are the minimum and recommeded things needed to get in
i would like to become a pilot
and im not sure of the major yet

Call the Academy itself and ask for admissions. It's never to early to start. Also contact your Senator for your state and ask what is their procedure for endorsing candidates.

Air Force Academy - Preparation

The laws governing our appointments require that you have a nomination to attend the Academy.
Since the nomination process is lengthy, you should seek a nomination at the same time you return your precandidate questionnaire.
To increase your chances of being selected, you should apply for a nomination from the following officials:

• U.S. Representatives and U.S. Senators:: You can contact your senators and representatives at the following websites: http://www.house.gov/ and http://www.senate.gov. From there you can go to each member's website for specific instructions on the application process, including which office to contact.
• The Vice President.

Nomination guidelines

• Each member of Congress and the Vice President may have five nominated cadets at the Air Force Academy at any one time.
• They may nominate up to ten candidates for each vacancy.
• Vacancies occur when cadets graduate or leave prior to graduation.
• The Academy also reserves a select number of spots for international applicants and applicants from U.S. territories and military-affiliated categories.
