| husband in USAF Basic training...? my husband left monday for BMT. I have been so upset and worried about him. And my 10 month old daughter keeps screaming "DADADA!" and making it worse. I heard that once they get to their tech school location the family can move out there with their spouse...is this true? and please help me if you have any tips on how to deal. and when exactly do they allow you to move in with them after they arrive at the tech school? If you guys could tell me the contact people for the air force that would be great. I have a huge load of questions |

| Your husband will be told all this stuff at a basic. He needs to write you letters or e-mail or call you with the information. And do not worry so much, he is going to AIR FORCE basic training. It is not like the Army or Marines for crying out loud! |

| As a Navy veteran, I just wanted to tell you that I fully appreciate the sacrifices made by service member families. All branches of the Armed Services have contact people for families to help with questions like the ones you have. If nothing else, go see the local recruiter at the office where your husband enlisted and ask for some info. As far as how to deal with the seperation and stress, it basically comes down to one day at a time. Hopefully you have friends and family around to help.

| 1) Don't be worried. No news is good news. You will get phone calls when it's time. 2) If the tech school is of a certain length, like 6 months or more, the military will offer to move the family out there to be with him. He will probably be required to live in the barracks for a time, but then he can move in an apt with you. If the tech school is less than that, you are still free to move wherever you want, but the military probably won't pay for it. They will pay for your housing when you are there, but they won't pay for the move itself. |
