sup3rman_05 has a spectacular aura about
U.S. Air Force Reenlistment?

Ok, I really need some help here. I know or at least I keep being told that the Air Force isn't taking prior service. I got out of the Air Force with an Honorable Discharge after just under 2 years of service. I would be more then happy to explain why, cuz I have nothing to hide but right now thats not the question, and I dont wanna give any ideas to anyone who is trying to get out because ill tell you right now when your out your gonna want back in. I want back in. I have a pretty weak reentry code though, 4E. I understand that other branches will take me up in a heart beat. I need some help from someone who knows what they are talking about, so if you flunked out in basic training and you think you know all about the Air Force please dont waste my time.
I noticed that what im referring to is actually reentry but just the same I need all the help and info possible.
Im not trying to come off as a whimp who cant make it in the real world, I have a sense of "DUTY" considering i didnt complete my first service agreement, I need that feeling of accomplishment in my life. I would have stayed If I could do it over again. I understand the pay isnt that great but the experiences in just under 2 years of service were something I would have never had if I just say, went to college. I am geared for Law Enforcement thats my passion. not alot of money in it in most places, but for most men an women its honest an honorable work.

I was in 9 years and I don't want back in. Go Air National Guard bud. They are handing out 16,000 dollars nationwide for people to join. You can get full time tech spots which pay way more then active duty. You also do one weekend a month and 2 weeks a year. So you can be a technician and a traditional or just a traditional. Congress back in 2007 also passed the Tricare Reserve Select act and now you can get some very good dental and benefits which is about 85/15 for 80 bucks a month. I haven't met a civilian company that can compete with that unless its Unionized. Why do you want to join the AF and get paid dirt? In E-3 first year of service makes about 640 bucks after taxes every 2 weeks. That is chicken feed around 9 bucks an hour. Join the Air Guard and get training in something good like HVAC. Get some experience there get in with a Union or something and eventually you will make 35 bucks an hour in some places. Hell I'm 28 and I drive Class A trucks locally and I make as much as E-7's do with 23 years in service. Also the Air National Guard most stats pay all of or most of your school.

Don't be a wimp and run back to the AF they are not even taking people back. They pushed me out in 2005 because they can bring in an 18 year old and train him up in I don't know 5 years and meet my exp level at the time. That is what they are doing. They are not going to want to pay you more that a kid from highschool who is 18 and you only have 2 years of exp which is not a lot. Thats why they don't take prior's a lot when they don't need them. They have to pay you money. The AF doesn't care about you or me they care about their bottom line and filing slots. Don't waste your time bud. Civilian world has a lot of money to be had and if you join the Air Guard you can help out your state and if you don't like your job you can switch anytime during your enlistment. The AF will put you in miserable jobs you cant escape for years to come. Use your head and do some research. Also lots of networking to be had in the Guard. Many of them are big whigs in the local area. We have guys who are big whigs in state patrol, microsoft, FAA, Boing, etc. here in Washington State. We also have lots of full time techs some of who get paid 25 to 30 bucks an hour do what an A1C does in the Air Force for way less work. Anyway use your head. The active duty should be your last resort and if it is, you really shouldn't even being going back in but re-evaulating your life.
