Should I join ROTC for Air Force?

i am 17 and thinking about joining the ROTC air force program at Ohio State and I am doing this in order to pay for the tuition, get other benefits, etc. but I am a little scared about the idea of going to war. I would be going into an engineering field, so the danger is not as high, and I know I can get a scholarship from the air force cause I have a great resume academically, physically, etc.

you won't go in to too much danger in the air force...u shouldn't go into the military just for the benefits alone though..its about more than that..just make sure u do it for the right reasons..

so you know, if you accept the scholarship, you're obligated to service after one or two years I believe..

That would be great and if you do so thank you. Joining the ROTC of course does not mean you have to join the service. It will be helpful for a scholarship and look good on a resume.

ya rotc looks good for college and stuff it sounds like a good idea to me and you are smart to go in the engineering feild and i pray for you to be safe

deploying with the Air Force is a little dangerous, but not as bad as army/marines. its not bad.The Air Force ROTC program is a very good deal, you should do it.
