| i'm interested in joining either the army or air force...?
i have 2 uncles 1 on my dad's side, ex-marine and one on my mom's who is in the army. the 1 on my mom's is okay; i am staying at his home while he is away in Afghanistan.
my mom hates army life and is convinced there are other options better than the military yet she & my dad leave few options. In a lot of ways I’m on my own & in 8 mos. I’ll be completely on my own. I’m not dumb but with 6 siblings & frequently moving home school doesn't offer the same guidance and help as public schooling.
Life after hs looks bleak. The military sounds good for many reasons. I want an exciting job, I don’t want to be a total loser, and I want to serve my country. For years both my bro and I have wanted to join the military…he the marines and I the air force or army. i am really considering it.
Should I even join because everyone is telling me that I just THINK i want to? my parents say don't.
Any advice or opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
i know that the military can be difficult but my life has been difficult. i know the military will probably be challenging & i hope it is. i think i've thought it through but can't seem to make a decision.
