| Air Force - Medical Standards? (Benign tumor)? I've posed this question and was satisfied with the opinion I got but more insight or as much insight as possible doesn't hurt. Long story short, I was scheduled for MEPS when the doctor there overlooked some med docs (diagnosis, procedure, follow-up) I'd submitted about a surgery a few years back concerning the removal of a harmless lump in my arm and he was cautious about approving me immediately because of a recommendation that I'd had to receive radiation treatment. Chronologically, the recommendation was before the diagnosis (which found that it was just another typical, non-cancerous lump in my upper arm), and it was optional so I opted not to undertake it. The follow-up from the med docs also confirmed that I'm perfectly fine and my arm is fully functional. My recruiter said that the MEPS doc is of a lower authority and just felt weary of making a decision so they sent it to the SG. Given any similar situations, I wanted to know maybe what I can expect as far as a response? |
