If I go active duty (Army or Air Force)..........base question?
So if I go Active duty in the Army or Air Force can I choose my base. The reason I ask this is because my girlfriend is active duty Army (still in basic) but she told me she would be stationed in VA. If she is in VA, I don't want to be in TX,CA etc...
in the Army we have Station of choice and what that does is it lets you fill out a list of places you want to go and depending on your MOS (Job) and the needs of the Army they will put you at one of the places so basically it comes down to if the base needs someone with your skills. my best suggestion for you would be to either pick VA as your first choice and then put other places close to that as your other choices a lot of the time you will get your first choice. im not sure how it works for the airforce but i think its more where they want to put you thats where you go
