Every military dependent I've ever known has referred to themselves, quite proudly, as Army brats, Air Force Brats, or Navy Brats. Quite a lot of them later joined themselves, and when you asked them where they were from, they'd always say, "I was born in _____, but I was an Army brat and moved around a lot."

mine are called many names..but they are military brats...there isnt a name other than that for air force kids..and mine are air force brats

3 of my nieces and my daughter were born in USAF medical facilities to Air Force families, they called themselves Air Force brats..Marine Brats, Army Brats, Navy Brats.Pretty consistent, isn't it????Townies (Local civilian youth in community) were always DICK-Heads even though it was DoD dollars that kept their little towns running!I never cottoned to being called an Army Brat.... Probably why I joined the Marines when I turned 18.
