I had a dream my dad was being tortured and I didn't help right away... what does this mean?

I had this dream last night that I was in a parking lot standing by a car and saw two girls in their early 20's with weapons making fun of and hitting my dad. He just stood there and tried to cover his face. I just continued to watch in shock as they forced him into a box and locked him in. When, I finally went over to open the box, and when I pulled my dad out, he looked pale and thin and was unconscious. I started crying and was about to blow air into his mouth when he opened his eyes and smiled. His body weight came back to normal and he got up and said everything was ok as he gave me a hug. I couldn't stop crying thinking how I did not help him................I'm 21, and I'm thinking I may be hurting my dad in a way I don't realize, because the girls were about my age. Or maybe my dad feels helpless in a situation he's currently in? Or maybe neither of those. What does this dream mean? It really bothered me.
