Thumbs up P-47 Video

Title: P-47
http://video. google.com/ videoplay? docid=4368250464 023128830&pr=goog-sl

Never had the pleasure of flying the "Jug" but my friend Sid Novaresi (who has
gone west)flew his tours in the bird off Ie Shima and Majuro. Sid retired as a
MG and I used to kid him about getting the damn thing in a dive (8 tons fully
loaded) it was like the cowboy going off the cliff straight down saying:
"I said Whoa you s.n .f a b..ch WHOA!!!"
Course unlike the 38 or the 51, if you took a hit in the coolant you were on
borrowed time until the fan would stop, that P&W R2800 double banker would take
all kinds of punishment and come home.
Any how this is a great video of actual combat and I thank you Jack for sending
it. I wish Sid was here to see it....Notice the crew chiefs riding the wing.
Last guy to see you off and the first guy to see you when you came back...
For you guys on dial up it might take a little time to load but if you like
fighters it is worth it..in my opinion
chk6
bob
.

"There are no fighter pilots down in hell"
"Because of damn good crew chiefs"
