thinking about joining the Air National Guard...HELP?

My hubby is in the Ohio Air Nat'l Guard and has been for about 7 years...hes gotten to see a ton of stuff and go all over the world and is working full time at a base about an hour from here. I am 21 years old and put myself through college and have a good job and career as a paralegal (although my boss right now works me to death and im underpaid) but my hubby has been trying to convince me that I need to join and it will make our marriage stronger. I've thought about it but I'd rather not have both of us in the military just so we can have a somewhat stable environment for our kids when we have them...and the military is just not the lifestyle for me. Anyone have experience with both spouses in the military or benefits I should consider or disadvantages of having both of us in the guard? I'm just trying to cover all aspects before we throw it out the window. (im trying hard to not think about the $20,000 signing bonus!)
this is just the guard so we're not going to be moving around unless he voluntarily transfers to another base and we dont have kids yet...im just thinking for the future b/c I'd like to have kids within the next year or two...Im 21 and hes 24.
