Is it possible to have dual citizenship and still be in US military?

I'm currently a US citizen, but would like to apply for dual citizenship. Is this allowed for members of US military?

yes it is but you will not get a security clearance. Dual citizenship is not good for that. Also, the country that you would like to apply for is factor too.

Yes, but you are subjected to military service laws in your other country of whom you have a citizenship with. And it could affect they type of job you get in the military that requires secret, or top secret clearances depending on your situation.

Yes it is, as long as your job doesn't involve high levels of security clearance. You don't even need to be a citizen to be in the military.

Yup. You don't even have to be a citizen to be in the military, last I checked... just a permanent resident. Makes sense, judging by the current, dire state of the US military. They'd probably cry to see you go.

Yes. But the US government does not recognize dual-citizenship. To the US government you are either a US citizen or you aren't.
