Am I getting short changed as a navy seabee?

I have decided to join the navy I went into the recruiters office not knowing what job I wanted. I took the practice ASVAB and got a 67 on it. My recruiter said I would be best as a undesignated seaman. I did research on it and found out its for people who flunk the ASVAB (I was very offended and no longer trusted the recruiter). So I went to Meps and ended up getting a 90 on my ASVAB. I chose to be a Utilitiesman because my resume includes an associates degree in Mechanical Engineering. 2 years experience as an Air Conditioning installer. And one year experience as a Hvac Drafter. I hated being a drafter because I hated being inside all day. So I still haven't found the downside to being a seabee/utilitiesman. But on the way home from Meps my recruiter tried to get me to go into the nuke program. Because I scored a 90 on the ASVAB. Keep in mind this is the same recruiter who wanted me to be an undesignated Seaman. So am I selling my self short by being a seabee with a 90 ASVAB score.
