| what navy rate has the best quality of life, i was pushed into nuke, want AC,... ...advise me!? I was really pushed into the nuclear program by my recruiter, but now after not seeing them for a few days and looking at what people have said about schooling, working conditions, quality of life overall, i don't think it's for me. I'm not joining the navy to not work, but i seem to generally read that you're putting in 18 hour days, the watches are terrible, the workign conditions are hot and cold, cramped, dirty and all that. Although the idea of the program interests me it doesn't seem like a great way to spend the next six years! what rate is the best, I prefer more "office" kind of work I am not going to lie, i'm just not a mechanical kinda guy. I think that ATC is the best fit, but if it isn't open what else should i shoot for? What is an ATC's life like? I scored nearly perfect on my asvab and had the option for any job period.      |
