Team Evil has a spectacular aura about
Can I go from Air Force Reserve (enlisted) to Active Duty (officer)?

To be more specific, I am strongly considering enlisting in the Air Force Reserves. I currently have my Associates degree but neither the discipline (else I'd have it already) or the financials to obtain a four year degree. I need this to commission as an officer and at least make an attempt at a pilot slot (even being an officer is still a goal of mine). I have two years of ROTC under my belt but due to grades was not accepted into the final two year program. I've read mixed answers regarding going from Reserve to Active Duty and how its seemingly impossible. My plan is to enlist in the reserves, utilize the G.I. Benefits (shape up my life a bit with a newfound sense of accomplishment), finish college (within two years max) and apply for a commission immediately afterward. My main concern is I don't want to side track myself another six years by commiting to a dead end and being stuck in the reserves with a boring job. Is this a well laid out plan? Or am I shooting myself in the foot?
