Going Air Guard from Air Force active duty?

I'm one year in Active Duty and am seriously pursuing transfer into the guard. The Air Force is great, but I definitely feel like I'd be more at home in the guard. I know that traditionally you have to be in for 1/2 your AD enlistment before your eligible for the palace chase, my question is; is there any kind of loophole or waiver i could get to transfer now or in the near future instead of 2 years from now? Also if anyone could tell me what's involved in the palace chase process that'd be very helpful too.
