| Is it hard to go from Active Air Force to Guard/Reserve right after 4-year...
...Active Enlistment? I'm currently in the Air Force with 4-year active duty contract. Right now I'm an Integrated Avionics Technician and I want to go join the Guard/Reserve 1 day RIGHT AFTER my Active Duty Contract ends so I can focus back on school to get my Bachelors Degree. It is hard to do because I don't want to be disappointed and get turned away because I would be prior service by that time since the Air Force right now isn't taking prior service and cutting back people like crazy. The units right now I'm interested in joining are in March Air Reserve Base and ANG Sepulveda Station. I'd like to retrain as well into something like SATCOM 2E1X1 or Crypto 2E2X1 if possible. Can someone please answer and give please give some suggestions.
