| alcohol allergy?
i don't have problems drinkng beers and other kinds of alcohol. until i tried this liqueur yesterday. when i wake up in the morning, i got rashes in my chest and in my back. i also got some on my face. i didn't mind it till i got to the gym and started itching. it itch like hell so i just went home coz of that. i don't know if some food i ate cause this.. what you think?

You probably have an allergy to some kind of ingredient in that particular liqueur. My aunt is allergic to the type of wood that is used to store certain wines so she gets similar reactions when she drinks wine as well.

Some flavor or fragrance in the liqueur, an oil is prolly the cause of the allergic reaction. Stay on a strong dose of antihistamine until you feel better. Diphenhydramine 25 mg three times a day or Doxylamine 25 mg twice a day are good choices, but you'll won't have any energy and will sleep, sleep. If that doesn't work get your doc to prescribe prednisone. Avoid that liqueur and anything that smells like it. |
