My Allergy Symptoms!?!?

I found out about 1 year ago that I'm allergic to many trees (especially in spring) and I believe it was June Grass. I live in Toronto, Canada and spring is just starting to kick in.

I have a small dog and lately everytime I go near it and pet it for a while (say about 10 mins.) the next morning I end up wakeing up with redness under my eye (on my skin) and around my cheeks. It seems to be a bit swollen and is annoying and itchy and sometimes feels dry. I'm using Moisterizer on my face and I have noticed the dryness, itchyness, redness and swolleness has gone down a bit.

Is there a name for what I've got on my face? My face seems to be the only thing affected (besides the tipcal runny nose and throat). Is there something I could put on my face? Any remedies or cures?
