Can an allergy lead to a cold?

We had to spray the carpet with carpet cleaner and its reallly perfumy. I normally cant sleep with airfresheners in the room or near our room and normally close the door so it doesnt bug me because I will get stuffed up and sneeze a lot. We also had to put some putty on our walls to fix a bunch of drywall in our onsuite so the smell of that was in the air. Anyhow all nite I was sneezing and today I woke up with my throat feeling like I have a cold. Not the feeling of soreness before a cold but the feeling while having the cold itself. My nose feels the same way. This is a first for me and I am praying I didnt get sick because I am 8 months pregnant and have been avoiding getting sick for this whole time and up until now have been ok. So is it possible to develop a cold from an allergy??
