Can allergies make you cough?

I've been sick from allergies the past couple of days(runny/stuffy nose, sneezing, occasional sore throat) but this morning, I started coughing. I told my mom, and she thinks it's caused by allergies too. She has severe non-seasonal allergies and she said that sometimes she coughs from it. If so, will regular honey help to solve it? Or does it have to be local honey (it has to do with the allergens and pollens in the area)? Thanks so much for your help! Every answer is appreciated! ?

Yes, they can also make you cry and your nose runny. Also, they make you tired. But you should let a doctor determine if they are allergies. Something so mild could turn into an upper respiratory infection.
