Is Coton de Tulear a good breed for allergy suferers?

I read in a book that Cotons produce less dander than other breeds. I was wondering if it'd make a good dog for allergy suferers?

Can any coton owners out there tell me their experience with this breed?
I'm not planning to adopt anytime soon. Probably not even years from now (if ever). I'm just exploring the possibility right now.

My personal stance right now is that I won't adopt any dog - ever (I too, don't want to adopt and regret it later). But I'm willing to explore the possibility that an allergy suferer like me might have a chance of having a dog someday.

I wanted to know people's personal experience with this breed before I even go to the breeder to look at them.

No dogs are free of allergens. If you are truly allergic to dogs, I would suggest getting a different pet. Despite what some "breeders" will claim when they are trying to sell you a dog, you will probably still be allergic and then the dog will have no home.

Everything I've read says they're good for allergy sufferers. But the reality is ALL dogs produce dander and the only way to know for sure if the breed will be ok for someone with allergies is to have them meet and spend time with some dogs from the breed.
