| Allergies or illness?
I have been dealing with this for about a week now. All day long I feel fine but at night I have post nasal drip & a sore throat from the drip. For the most part I wake up feeling fine in the morning but I have had one morning during this past week where my throat still hurt and I my sinuses were clogged. I haven't had a fever. I figured it must be allergies but I have taken 180mg of Allegra the past 2 days and still had the same symptoms at night. Typically I get this for a few weeks and then it leads to a sinus infection and if I let it go too long it becomes bronchitus but if I were to go to the doctor tomorrow morning they would tell me it's a common cold and then a week later it would be a bacterial infection and require antibiotics. I go through this cylce at least once a year but up to 3 times a year and I am tired of it. I can handle being sick if I would just get sick and be done with it but I hate waiting for it to fester into something and being uncomfortable while it does.
Anyone else go through this or has been through it and found a way to combat it? I use saline nasal spray when it starts but that does nothing. I am willing to do whatever it takes to be someone who gets sick or doesn't and not go through this drawn out process. Is it allergies and Allegra isn't a good choice for me or am I fighting an illness that will ultimately be a bacterial infection?
I don't feel sick or any more tired than usual but I hate having my throat burn like hell and feel the glob of gook running out of my inner nasal area into my throat.
