Babies food allergy ?

I introduced chicken for the first time yesterday and now my 6.5 month old son has a rash on his arm and is cranky.
Is this an allergy? We have to history to food allergies in our family and also just thought chicken is a weird thing to have an allergy to?
Should I keep giving him chicken? Or stop and wait then try agian when he is a bit older?

I wouldnt even try any chicken or beaf unless he is 8months or older..poultry should intreduce 8months to 10 months gap..
