Whooping Cough or Allergies?

I had this bad cough to the point of throwing up or gagging. Then slight asthma. They put me on 2 rounds of antibiotics. I can breath better and don't need an inhaler. But, that cough still lingers to the point of gagging sometimes. This has gone on since November. Does anybody know what this can be?
