Peanut allergies??

Hi!
I'm allergic to peanuts.
Once I accidentaly ate some kisses with almonds in them...
and people have told me that an almond is a nut.
But when I ate it nothing happened to me and I was just fine -- no itching, no itchy throat, stuff like that.

That is the same thing when it comes to pistachios...

But I DO get itchy with nuts like peanuts, hazelnut, walnuts, etc...

I asked my mom this same question and she told me to not eat almonds and pistachios.

But I'm just VERY curious, because I've been allergic to nuts since forever, and I don't really know what's so different when it comes to those two nuts.

And I actually find almonds DELICIOUS!!!
So I really hope I'm not allergic to them!!!
