| Any advice for allergies? Just checking to make sure I'm not the only one. I have serious allergies year round. When i was tested, they told me that i was severely allergic to dust mites. On 1-4, a 4+++++. Tried almost every medicine, allergy shots, nasal spray, the works, nothing worked. There are somethings that work. setting still on a comp or sleeping seems to help. chewing or drinking gives momentary relief (hence my addiction to skittles). but if i ever start trying to do school work or what ever, they come back full force. Sometimes i wonder if its a mind game partially. When they get really bad, i get that feeling when i want to sneeze but cant, and it just lingers. Anybody found anyways that help to calm them? folk cures or new medicines (i've tried most new experimental ones too). The skittles are starting to get old and making my mouth sore. also, a cold rag on my face feels good. Oh, symptoms. runny itchy eyes, nose. headache, congestion. pretty much the works. 20 yrs old, allergies most life. Help? Oh, and I've never really responded to the meds in any way. They don't make me tired at all and even the shots that are supposed to make me hyper didn't do that either. Pretty much don't take meds cause they don't do anything for me. Also, i've lived in Jackson, MS and in the middle of the backwoods and neither have helped. Went to Arizona, aka people with allergies paradise, and no change. cool moist places seem to work, sometimes. nothing really seems consitant except chewing or drinking. they get bad so bad sometimes that i whether i'm sneezing or not, people basically tell me i seem and look like I'm drunk or something, even though i can still think clearly. lol, now i know i dont wanna ever get into alcohol or drugs, got enough allergies to hate it anyways. anways, they seem to come for a week, then gone for two or three, and then back. thanks for the help. *chewing- food; not tobacco *drinking- water, milk, ect.; not alcohol. |
