Could be a sinus infection right along with a common cold. You may need some antibiotics.

You sound just like my husband. Try taking a Loratadine every night before you go to bed, more of a long term help during allergy season. Go to the drug store and look at the 'sinus rinse' options. There is a Netty Pot and then some squeeze bottle types. Sounds gross but this can really help, you mix up the solution and use it to rinse out your nose and sinus'. Very helpful for many people. Sudafed in the morning can help drain your sinus' (will keep you awake if you use it at night, Benadryl will put you to sleep) Good luck!
