Silly question, I know..Allergies? Can my boyfriend enjoy a botanical garden?

Our local botanical garden has special events and bike riding days where you can bring your bike and ride through the trails. My boyfriend loves bike riding so I think its both romantic and good healthy exercise. Do allergies get worse around flowers? I don't have allergies but he gets bad allergies when there is a lot of pollen. So is pollen just in the air anyways?...or will it be a lot worse in a botanical garden?

I don't even know if I am asking this question right lol...hopefully someone will know what I mean.
