Robin K has a spectacular aura about
my fiance has a metal allergy (nickel) and I am wondering what metal he might be

able to wear? Nickel is the worst, but he even breaks out with hypo-allegenic things. For instance, when he has blood drawn, the needles affect his skin. Any ideas on metals to try for his wedding ring?

Sew What? has a spectacular aura about
I have a nickel allergy. This is something that only started a few months ago. For me it just means I can't wear most costume jewelry if the metal rubs my skin. Sterling silver is okay.

If he's breaking out when blood is drawn it's probably from the nickel content in the stainless steel needles.

Couldn't you just get some sort of ring that won't make him break out for the ceremony, and then store it in a jewelry box after the ceremony.

I've been married 40 years to the same person. In the big scheme of things whether or not you wear a wedding band isn't important.

Well, stainless steel contains small ammounts of nickel, as can some silvers.
Try gold - or failing that there are some good examples in platinum, rhodium or titanium.

I would go with platinum.
