Allergies?

Allergy or not:

My dad went to work on Friday and came home early feeling nauseous, coughing, sneezing, headache, possible fever (he never checked though.) He got a little better over the weekend and now he's back to feeling ill.

I have two female mice in my room, next to his "office" and my mom is convinced that he's having an allergic reaction to them.

I also have an Airwick sprayer in my room to help with any "smell" my mom might complain of.

I've had the mice for two weeks now and he's been in an out of my room with no trouble. He's also worked in his office with no troubles. Plus a lot of his co-workers (including his boss, who had the flu) have had the flu and other illnesses over the past few weeks.

Could it be allergies or is it more likely the flu?
