My dog swallowed Zyrtec-d for allergies, will she be okay?

I accidentally dropped my allergie pill and my dog swollowed it. Will she be okay? It was only one pill.
thanks for your help! my dog is fine now!!

Yes, my assumption is she will be fine. Dogs are actually prescribed allergy medications sometimes. If she is an extremely tiny dog, you may want to take her to the vet, but if she is a medium or large sized dog, she may get sleepy, or she might show no signs of having taken the medication at all. My dog took a benadryl one time and just went to sleep for a couple hours. Dogs will eat anything!

Call an 24 hour vet or emergency center. They can answer you most quickly and accurately If it is a problem for the dog to have eaten the pill, they can give you the correct way to induce vomiting. It varies by age, size, health conditions, etc. Causing the dog to vomit will bring the stomach contents back up, including the pill or what is left of it. But you have limited time to do this. Do it right and get the vet staff's instructions.
