allergy to poultry?

just wondering if anyone else has this allergy? I have been suffering from this for so long now. I want to know if I am alone.

I am allergic to birds. I have a pet cockatiel I've had since I was 8 and love him to death. I can't breate through my nose and wheeze a lot. I wouldn't give him up for anything though.
