What is the best thing to use for Toddler Allergies?

My 2 year old woke up with puffy eyes this morning and they were a little gunky, I was just wondering if anyone knew whether or not this could be related to allergies, since he has pretty intense allergies. Any help with this would be great! Thanks

Definately take them to the doc for sure, but I hear a lot of kids use Cingular[- I think thats what its called] or benadryl- but that can make them drowsy- so I would go to the doc for a prescription.
