| Food allergy question?
So here's the story. My brother is HIGHLY allergic to shrimp. So I've been holding off on shrimp for my daughter, and she had scallops a few times. Well yesterday, she ate a small bite of a scallop. Last night, she broke out in a rash on her trunk (front only) and a bit on her face. My mother thought it was dry skin (because she gets it a lot) and she cried like it was painful when she got into the bathtub. This morning, the rash is gone. So here's the question-can the rash from an allergic reaction to a food cause discomfort/pain?? I'm going to call her pediatrician to find out if we can get a skin test done, but I wanted to hear from others as well.
Mollie, apparently you didn't read a thing I read and are fishing for points. I am going to try and get a skin test done, I WAS JUST LOOKING FOR OTHER PEOPLE'S EXPERIENCES.
Chika, if it was uncomfortable/did burn, would hitting warm water make it MORE uncomfortable?
