| Does this sound like lactose intolerance mild or does it sound like specific allergies? Here's the thing: no matter what other people tell me, "oh you wouldnt be lactose intolerance cause of your ethnic background' etc and "it doesnt run in your family' I really have reason to believe I am. Whenever I drink a whole cup of milk, I get a tight quesy feeling in my stomach that goes away. If I drink a cup of milk, then later on have say a cheese pizza, or a milkshake or anything else dairy, (if it has a sufficeint amount of dairy in it, a slice of butter doesnt count) then I get really bad stomach cramps and then get diahrreah. I hardlty ever drink dairy products but since being pregnant I have tried to increase my intake (I'm 25 weeks). The thing is, yesterday I had a cup of milk, a slice of lasagna with cheese in it, a cheese pizza later on, and then a chai latte which has milk in it later on. Then I was up all night with horrible stomach cramps and then diahrreah. I am still feeling the after effects of it today, my stomach feels delicate. It's not cause I'm pregnant caus
this has happened to me b4 pregnancy. But I am just wondering if it sounds like lactose intolerance or would eating this much dairy in one day wreak havoc on anyon'es stomach? However I do notice a pattern: a whole cup of milk I get a slight quesy feeling that lasts only a little while, if I have a nother glass, or a milkshake, or cheese pizza, cheese sandwich etc later on then I do get worse stomach cramps and diahrreah even sometimes. But the thing is, I can eat pancakes waffles with no problem and also I can eat a whole pint of ice cream! Just not vanilla. Would this still be a mild form of lactose intolerance? Ice cream is the only dairy thing consumed in large amounts that I can digest with no problem...but cheese crackers consumed in a moderate amoutn even upset my stomach. |
