Alcohol Allergy?

Let me give you a little bit of background first. I have been sick on and off for the past month or so, bad sore throat followed by coughing that wouldn't stop, followed by stuffy head, etc. (typical winter crap thats always going around).

I finally went to the med center and got on some antibiotics and it's been about a week since I finished my prescription and I feel much better. Well last night I went out and I was drinking rum, the next morning my throat was sore almost as if it was swollen and it remained that way for a few hours, and my glands on my neck were very swollen too. I feel like my face has been red all day also.

I don't know if the alcohol just wore my system down because I just got over being sick, but my cold has seemed to worsen before after drinking rum. This only seems to happen with rum though and not anything else. I guess it probably is just my immune system recovering but is there anyway I could be allergic to only rum and not any other alcoholic drin
