| Is a cramped calf of the leg permanently curable?
Recently while jogging as usual (very slow) uphill, I felt sudden jerk on my left leg's calf, I instantly became unable to move further, had a tendency of further tearing of the tissue inside. seen a doctor, he said nothing more can be done just get rest no jugging for few weeks, it will heal itself. Pain lasted few days, still having uneasy feeling but recently I gained more confidence on the injury and started jogging slowly on the plain not uphill, I started feeling much better. unfortunately, this morning due to my suddent run my calf severly cramped again. Now Dr.is advising to do the dorsal ankle slab to maintain plantar flexion for 4 weeks i.e. plastering of the feet, have to walk with the help of Chrochette. Is it necessary to do the plaster, or is there any alternative medicine like chinese medicine ? please help me find out the solution. I am afraid whether this condition be cured permanently or not.
