| If i apply for a medical marijuana will it stay on my record?
im confused, i understand the law passed allows people who want to use marijuana as an alternative medicine can get a card, but does it stay on your record. does anyone have a link that states whether it does or does not. also, how many times do i have to pay to get it. i know there are doctors who issue them and you pay, but im reading on the california website saying i have to take that form, then pay more to get my card...so i pay twice, correct? im a 22 year old female, about to graduate college and i really dont want the fact that i choose to use marijuana for my problems to taint my record. thank you!

What do you mean by record? It will be in your medical record forever as it is a medical treatment. A record that can be seen by others? NoThere are strict medical privacy laws that prevent others from seeing you are smoking the reefer.

It will remain as part of your medical record only. If you want to get medical marijuana then you must see a doctor about this. Yes, you do have to pay the doctor because he/she does not dispense the medicine. Once you get the written order from your doctor then you can go to a clinic where you can purchase what you need. Yes, you do have to pay separately for the marijuana.

It won't a on a criminal record, if that's what you mean. It will be part of your medical record, which, unless you plan to run for president any time soon, will not be made public. In the future, it MIGHT show up if you, say, apply for a job where you need an FBI background check or something.
