Alternative medicine doctor and pelvic pain?

I have been having heavy bleeding between periods and severe pelvic pain for over a year now. I have been to 2 different OB/GYNs who so far have found nothing wrong. (I have even had ultrasounds, a laparoscopy, and a hysterosonogram) Up until a couple of weeks ago, I was on prescription pain medication for about 6 months. My doc said that he didn't want to prescribe me any more refills because he said it could become addictive. Now I have nothing for my pain and ibuprofen, etc. doesn't work at all. My mom has suggested I see an alternative medicine doctor to see if they have any suggestions for my pain. The problem is that the first appointment alone will cost $350 and insurance won't cover it! I want to know if anyone has seen an alternative medicine doctor. Do you think this appointment would be worth my time and money? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
